What travelers say
4.7 average from 53 reviews
Great experience! Everything worked exactly as expected. The eSIM installation took less than two minutes and was very easy to set up. I had reliable service throughout my trip in the United States with no issues. I will definitely use it again. Highly recommended!
Verified purchaseJul 2026 Great value for my Thailand trip and setup was quick. Dropped one star only because I burned through my data faster than expected — go a size up if you stream. Would buy again.
Verified purchaseJul 2026 I left from Canada to China with YonoSIM because I needed both data and the ability to check my gmail. It worked like a charm!

Common questions
When should I install the eSIM?▼
Many travelers install shortly before departure or on arrival—follow your bundle's rules for activation. You'll need internet (Wi‑Fi is fine) to complete setup. See our step-by-step activation guide.
Is my phone compatible?▼
You need an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked device. Check our compatible devices list to confirm yours qualifies—compatibility is determined by your hardware, not YonoSIM.
What's your refund policy?▼
We're the first travel eSIM store with a fully automatic 30-day refund. If your eSIM is unused within 30 days of purchase, we refund you automatically—no email, no ticket, no questions asked. You can also self-serve a refund on any unused eSIM anytime within 30 days. See our Terms for the fine print.
I'm a first-time user—what's the most common gotcha?▼
Every YonoSIM eSIM ships with data roaming included, but your phone keeps roaming switched off by default after install. Just go to Settings and turn on data roaming for the new eSIM. Tip: leave your home SIM's data roaming switched off to avoid surprise bills from your home carrier.
Can I keep my own country's number for 2FA?▼
Yes. Your primary SIM stays active on your phone number for calls, SMS, and 2FA/verification codes—YonoSIM's eSIM handles data only. See our 2FA codes abroad guide for the full setup.
Should I get a standard plan or unlimited?▼
For most travelers, a standard plan wins. Travel data is spiky—one heavy YouTube day, three Wi-Fi-mostly days—and every unlimited plan throttles after a daily fair-use cap (typically 500 MB–2 GB) anyway. A right-sized standard plan usually costs less and gives you full speed on your heaviest day. See our standard vs unlimited plans guide for the math.
