Privacy policy
Last updated: April 15, 2026
YonoSim (“YonoSim”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and related services (together, the “Service”), why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, we will provide a clearer notice where practical (for example on the site or by email if we have your address).
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
We collect information you choose to give us, such as when you create an account, complete checkout, contact support, or subscribe to updates. This may include your name, email address, billing details you enter into our payment flow, and the contents of messages you send us.
1.2 Payment processing
Payments are handled by Stripe (or other payment processors we enable). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers; card data is processed according to the processor’s terms and security standards. We may receive limited payment metadata (for example last four digits, brand, and transaction identifiers) to confirm orders and prevent fraud.
1.3 Order and eSIM fulfilment
To deliver prepaid travel data plans, we work with wholesale eSIM platforms (such as eSIM Go and/or eSIM Access, depending on what is enabled for your purchase). We share the minimum information required to provision your order—for example identifiers tied to your transaction and the plan you bought—so that your eSIM can be issued and supported.
1.4 Technical and usage data
Like most websites, we collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device characteristics, general location derived from IP, and pages or features you use. We use this to operate the Service, secure our systems, diagnose issues, and understand aggregate usage.
1.5 Sensitive information
Please do not send us special categories of personal data (for example health data or government ID numbers) unless we explicitly ask for them. If you voluntarily include such information in a support ticket, we will use it only to respond to your request and will not use it for unrelated marketing.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Process payments and fulfil eSIM orders;
- Authenticate accounts and send service-related messages (security alerts, receipts);
- Respond to questions and provide customer support;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or technical problems;
- Comply with law and enforce our terms; and
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law and, where required, only with your consent (you can opt out anytime using the link in those emails or by contacting us).
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on appropriate legal bases such as performing a contract with you, legitimate interests (balanced against your rights), compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the Service, including with:
- Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to complete transactions;
- Hosting and database providers (e.g. Supabase) to store account and order records securely;
- eSIM wholesale partners to provision and support the plans you purchase;
- Professional advisers and authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Service providers may only use your data to perform services for us and must protect it in line with contractual obligations.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for essential site functionality, preferences, analytics, and (where applicable) advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking certain cookies may limit some features.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including accounting, dispute resolution, and legal requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it where feasible.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@yonosim.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
8. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers outside recognised adequate jurisdictions.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit where appropriate and access controls on our systems. No online service is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-party sites
The Service may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to read those policies before sharing information with them.
