Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the YonoSim website, checkout experience, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by the party responsible for YonoSim (“YonoSim”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service—whether you browse, create an account, or complete a purchase—you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information.

1. Description of the Service

YonoSim resells prepaid travel data eSIM plans sourced from wholesale partners (such as eSIM Go and/or eSIM Access, depending on catalogue configuration). After you pay, we arrange for your plan to be provisioned so you can install it on a compatible eSIM-capable device, typically using a QR code or activation details shown in your order confirmation or account.

We are not a mobile network operator. Coverage, speeds, latency, and service quality depend on underlying carrier networks and your device; we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or a particular performance level.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If local law requires you to be older than a certain age to use prepaid telecom resale services, you represent that you meet that requirement.

You may check out as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices and plan descriptions are shown before you pay. We may change catalogue pricing or availability at any time; changes apply to new orders only. Taxes or regulatory fees may apply depending on your location and will be presented at checkout where we collect them.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (for example Stripe). You agree to their terms and to provide accurate billing information. All charges are subject to successful authorization by the payment method you provide.

4. Delivery, activation, and device compatibility

eSIM delivery is digital. You are responsible for confirming that your device is eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked where required, and running supported software. Misconfiguration, hardware limits, or regional restrictions may prevent installation or use; those risks are yours.

Once an eSIM is installed or activated according to partner or bundle rules, it may be treated as consumed even if you do not use all included data.

5. Refunds, cancellations, and disputes

Prepaid digital eSIM products are often non-refundable once provisioned or activated. If a technical failure on our side or our wholesale partner’s side prevents activation or use in line with the plan you purchased, contact us within a reasonable time (we suggest within 30 days of purchase) with order details and, where helpful, screenshots or error messages. We may work with the partner to replace the profile or, where appropriate, refund the purchase.

We may refuse a refund where there is evidence of fraud, abuse, chargeback manipulation, or a violation of these Terms. Unused data, time, or allowances generally do not carry over or convert to cash after bundle expiry.

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, we may suspend fulfilment or close related orders pending resolution.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights;
  • Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or overload the Service or partner systems;
  • Misrepresent your identity, manipulate pricing or promotions, or abuse referral or incentive programs;
  • Resell, lease, or redistribute YonoSim access or wholesale partner services except as expressly permitted in writing.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other customers.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We are not liable for outages, maintenance, carrier network issues, force majeure events, or problems caused by your device, software, or configuration.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YONOSIM AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO YONOSIM FOR THE SPECIFIC ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100), IF NO SUCH PAYMENT OCCURRED—EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER MANDATORY CONSUMER LAW.

9. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify YonoSim and its affiliates, officers, and agents against any third-party claims, damages, or costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue features of the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires additional consent.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of YonoSim, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction’s laws. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections that apply to you in your country of residence. Subject to those protections, you agree to bring disputes in the courts competent for the operator’s jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
