QWhich Brazilian network do travel eSIMs use?
AYonoSIM and Airalo both route through TIM and both publish it. Vivo has the widest Brazilian footprint but does not supply travel eSIM brands. Saily, Holafly, and Nomad do not disclose their Brazilian carrier. TIM is reliable in Rio, São Paulo, Salvador, and along the coast; expect thinner signal deep in the interior or in the Pantanal.
Explore our regional and global eSIMs — packages start from the shown price and include coverage for the selected location.
QDo I need a CPF number to get mobile data in Brazil?
AFor a local prepaid SIM, effectively yes — Brazilian carriers tie activation to a CPF (the national taxpayer ID), which tourists don't have, so buying a Vivo, Claro, or TIM SIM at a shop is slow and often needs a workaround. A travel eSIM sidesteps this entirely: you buy online with a card or Apple/Google Pay, no CPF, no store visit, and it's active before you land.
QWhich Brazil carrier has the best coverage for tourists?
AVivo has the widest national footprint and the strongest coverage in the Amazon and interior; Claro and TIM Brasil are excellent in Rio, São Paulo, and the coastal cities. All three run live 5G in the major metros. Vivo and Claro supply no travel eSIM brand, so YonoSIM routes on TIM — the network that is actually available to travel eSIMs here.
QHow much data does a 1-week Brazil trip actually need?
AAbout 5 GB covers standard tourist use over a week: Google Maps, WhatsApp (which everyone in Brazil uses), rideshare apps, social media, and light streaming. That runs roughly US$14–18. If you're uploading a lot of Rio and Iguaçu photos or tethering a laptop, step up to 10 GB.
QWill my eSIM work in the Amazon or at Iguazu Falls?
AAt Foz do Iguaçu and the Iguazu Falls national park, 4G/LTE is reliable. In the Amazon, coverage is good in Manaus city but drops off fast on river routes and in remote rainforest — expect no signal on boat trips. TIM-backed plans give you the best odds in remote areas, but download offline maps before heading in.

Data excellent. SMS would have been good :)Easy to install. Great signal great service, great price. Fabulous!!Good as isEverything worked very well. Even we have some restrictions about Esim registration in Turkiye, I could able to use it as soon as I landed in Denmark. And I got all the questions answered in a few minutes. I’ll be using it again and again for sure!설치가 간편하고 빠른 속도와 안정된 접속으로 여행 기간 동안 잘 사용 했어요.Worked well, stable fast. recommendationVivo has Brazil's widest footprint and the Amazon reach, but neither Vivo nor Claro supplies a travel eSIM, so our Brazil plan rides TIM, which is reliable in Rio, São Paulo, Salvador and along the coast and runs live 5G in the metros. 5 GB covers a week of WhatsApp, rideshare and maps with no CPF number needed; expect dead zones on Amazon river routes and in the Pantanal.
Our Brazil plans run on Claro, TIM and Vivo with 5G where the network has it; traffic exits inside Brazil, so local apps and streaming behave as they do for residents. 18 plans, hotspot allowed on every one, activation within 180 days of purchase.
